Corn Price Outlook Stays Bearish in Early 2024 4/15 9:49AM

The new safrinha corn crop has had consistent rains since being planted but the forecast for central Brazil is looking drier this week, starting to transition to its dry season. Neither December corn in the U.S. nor July corn on Brazil's Bovespa exchange show signs of crop concerns yet (DTN ProphetX chart).

Brazil's safrinha corn crop is about to enter its dry season, but so far, corn prices are not showing concern for smaller supplies either in the U.S. or in Brazil.

Watching Safrinha Corn in Brazil with Wet Season Essentially Over 4/18 10:28AM

Wet season showers have effectively ended this week in most of Brazil, which puts the onus on fronts coming from Argentina to supply any excess moisture for the safrinha corn crop in central and southern Brazil. Corn conditions from here on out will be watched closely as the limited soil moisture that has built up will likely run out early.
